Hot Summer Can-Can

I am so in love with this mani!! I have been wearing it for days and I really don't want to take it off. It's time for a change though so it will be coming off today. :( It reminds me of can-can dancers or something. Can't quite put my finger on it. I used scotch tape to do this. The blue is wearing off of the tips but oh well. :)

Indoor Light at the Dentist ;)

Bottle shot in shade, without the glitter
glitter: OPI: Pirouette My Whistle

In sun (not good lighting for this lol)

The blue is a dark jelly and the silver glitter sparkles through it. I couldn't get a good picture of the sparkles. I have come to the conclusion that jelly samis are a great accent nail. :)

What do you think? Does this make you want to go to the circus?

Just Spotted the Cat.... I mean Lizard!

This has to be one of my favorite manis to date! Yesterday I decided I wanted to wear OPI: Just Spotted the Lizard and also wanted to use one of my many and barely touched Shatters. Originally I wanted to use a bright color but after swatting decided on black. I had Jessica: Iridescent Eye (title) stuck in my head and wanted to do a cat eye. Everything else just happened as I started painting my nails with the black. The Tiger nail is my favorite! I love how it turned out! :) I also love the Shatter. I know, it was yesterdays news when I finally started wearing shatter but the black with this gold is simply stunning.

On to the pics!

OK! I'm leaving for NYC in a couple of days and want to do an awesome mani to last my trip. This is my first trip to NYC and I want nails to commemorate the occasion. I'm thinking a gradient based on this amazing gradient! I have to do my nails tomorrow along with pack and everything else! I need something fairly simple. I thought about stamping as well but that takes a while. Or maybe an elegant glitter sami. IDK! Help!

Best Wishes!

Baby Doll

I got this new baby doll style dress which makes me super happy! I went on a date wearing it and accented the yellow with a flower in my hair and yellow heels! Fashion is not in my genes but I would proud of my final result! I painted my nails to go with the outfit and here is the result. I'm very pleased with it. The lighting is a little off because it was getting dark outside when I took these pics and I'm not a fan of my indoor lighting.

Half Moons with Silver Lining

I just realized I didn't take a bottle shot! Oops! :) I used Julep: Blake and Meryl

So what do you think?

Best wishes,

LDS #2 Summer Ombre

The Lazy Days of Summer
hosted by: Polished Prisms

For this I decided it needed to be bright colors. I just bought 'Meet Me at the Bonfire' (a dupe for Big Hair Big Nails) and then there were 3 jellies. I decided to go for an ombre jelly sami. Unfortunately my pics don't show the colors very well and there is more ombre on each nail than what shows up in the pictures. The orange and red are further apart than what the pics show. Looking back I would have done the ombre over the glitter as well and not just a coat of 'Y'all Come Back Ya Hear?'

In any case, this mani makes me super happy!

My model is a freshly picked tomato from the garden!

So what do you think?

The Lazy Days of Summer
hosted by: Polished Prisms

I'm really super happy with how this turned out. :) Took me a while to decide on what to do that wasn't also a pool mani (already have that one planned out!) I didn't plan to keep this on but liked it so much I didn't want to take it off. Hope you like it too!!

See? I used another stamp! a shell :)

And a blurry holo shot! Yay!

I'm not sure who else is participating in this but I will add links once I find out! :) Polished Prisms at the top is a link you can follow to find out more. :)

Vamp Chic

So now that I've finally gotten the guts to go for the stamping I freggin love it! I don't have many polishes that will work for stamping but I have tons that are sheer are great for layering so I thought I would try one of those. Also, I've been dying to wear one of my dark purples! It's summer so I've put it off but decided it was time to bring one out and try this stamping mani. :) I'm so happy with how this turned out! Can't wait until I can do way more of these over winter!!

And thanks to Fingers Polish Mania for her encouragement!! :)

I like my accent nail so left one out.

Here is my right hand. I think it turned out better. :)

I used OPI: Lincoln Park After Dark and SOPI: Wardrobe Change

Happy Coloring!

Lav-ish

I'm really behind in my posting! Today I want to share with you something from about 10 days ago. I taught a Princess camp and thought purple would be a fitting color. I added the shatter on the accent nail to add some princess bling! I was surprised at how much I love this color! It's Ulta: Lav-ish which I bought as part of a buy 2 get 2 deal. The gold flecks are very apparent when wearing the polish. It took two coats and the only downside it the shrinking. :( Oh well. So this is a bit pic heavy for me but here you are!

Oh yea! and some veggies I picked from the garden!

I've got some exciting manis coming up so stay tuned!!
