2 Posts in One Day!!! I don't have time tomorrow or Sat to paint my nails so this had to be a quick turn around. Speaking of Quick- I bought nail drying spray and can't wait to try it out!
Anyway- back to my nails. So, as implicated by my blog title I'm a big fan of color! Lots and lots of color! I'm also a big fan of polka dots! My choice for this challenge was quite easy. ;)

Girly Girl: Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice

Next to last Girly Girl challenge! I tried to post yesterday but I couldn't get pics before the sun went down. :( So here it is now! So my favorite sweet is chocolate! I'm a choco-holic and I get it honest, from my Mother! We are both dark chocolate lovers and since this is sweet and spice my inspiration is dark chocolate with chili flakes. ooooh!

I used
OPI: I Brake for Manicures
OPI: Tease-y Does It
Essie: Shine of the Times

Now time to turn right back around start the very last Girly Girl Challenge!

Let's see how the others are doing!

Girly Girl: Who Inspires You?

My first reaction is my Mom- but really, who's isn't? My Mom is Amazing but I'm dedicating this to a different person, a friend from college. Erin and I are both dancers and she has gone off to make a life for herself and is pursuing dreams. I see her successes and it inspires me to pursue dreams of my own. Not only is she a dancer but she is also an artist. I saw her work up in a local coffee shop and I still remember a purple and white painting of a butterfly. I love her artwork and I wish I had a photo of the butterfly to show you but alas I do not. So here is my mani for her. :)

I used:
OPI: Give Me the Moon (awesome grey with blue iridescent shimmer!)
OPI: A Grape Fit (I'm not one for purple, but I like this one!)
Essie: Miss Matched
SinfulColors: Black on Black

I dabbed the purple and white on then used the pin prick dotter to draw lines through and add the body. This is the second time I tried this today because the first butterfly lost a wing before I could take a photo. :( It's been one of those days.

Now that it's time for bed I can go check out the other ladies' manicures!!! :)

Girly Girl: Gotta Love Chick Flicks!

One of my all time favorite chick flicks (and I have a lot!) is Enchanted. I love the parody on Disney Princess movies and this movie just makes me supper happy! :)

Gizelle wears 5 dresses throughout the movie so I did the nail version of those dresses.

The Polish (all OPI except where noted)
Thumb: A-Rose at Dawn... Broke by Noon (2), Dim Sum Plum (bow)
Index: Kyoto Pearl (2), Sally Hansen Diamond Strength- Fiary Tale Ivory (2), Sticker
Middle: Kyoto Pearl (2), Teal the Cows Come Home (1), A-Rose..., The 'It' Color
Ring: Kyoto Pearl (1), A-Rose... & A Grape Fit, Kyoto Pearl (1), SOPI- Matte Top Coat
Ring: A Grape Fit (1), Not Like the Movies (1), NOPI- Give the First Dance (dots)

Whew! That's a lot of polish!

I wonder what the other ladies are doing!

Girly Girl: Inspired by the Runway

I don't really follow anything. Never have. (except now I'm following nail blogs. weird) so I went through HUNDREDS of Runway photos for Spring 2012 and my favorite collection is Marc Jacobs' Gatsby collection and the look that stood out the most was this color block swimsuit. Pink and Green are my favorite colors :)

And here is my mani!

Here are my Polishes

OPI: La Paz-itively Hot, Orly: Happy Ever After
OPI: Fly, and OPI: Don't Mess with OPI (mixed to make teal)

I'm glad I got this mani done so quickly because I'm super happy with it and I plan on wearing it for a few days. (and excited it has green in it for St Patty's Day!) I decided to paint a solid layer of the pink and then layer the other colors. I loved this Hot Pink so much I had to take pics to show you. This is only 1 Coat! How fun is that! I am so in love with this color- it's the Hottest Hot Pink Ever! :)

Both pics are outside. Shade and Sun (even though its a bit cloudy)

Check out what the other Girly Girls are doing!

Girly Girl: Delicate and Elegant!

For some reason I had a really hard time with this challenge. I think it's 2 main reasons. 1) I had sooooo many ideas! and 2) I'm new to nail art and a lot of my ideas were techniques I either haven't used before (which is everything except tape and a doting tool) or had no idea how to realize my idea! I decided to try painting flowers on my nails which was kind of a fail. (Although, it's my first time ever doing this and I should probably give myself a little slack! lol).

I LOVE flowers and french manicures so I wanted to combine the two as I thought it would be fitting for this challenge. (unfortunately my flowers look like child's play rather than elegance. oh well.) However, I'm fond of my french-inspired mani with dots! :) I love the pink glittery shimmer. As mentioned before, I am a dance teacher and my young students like princesses. My nails make me think of the fairy-tale princess Cinderella! So here is the result...

Polishes- Ulta: Sweet Nothing (2 coats), SC: Glass Pink (1 coat over the Ulta polish), OPI: Give Me the Moon, and OPI: Pompeii Purple. SC has glitter shimmer and this mani wouldn't be the same without it! The 2 OPI polishes have a blue/purple iridescence to them which is why I decided to use them together.

I'm loving the other mani that people are coming up with for this challenge! Let's see what else is new!
